Microsoft Corporation Delivery Resource Manager in Bangalore, India

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in consulting, client / project management and high-end professional services business development, delivery or relevant management experience combined with a BA/BS degree or other equivalent. Additionally, the candidate will have strong business management skills and possess great communication and relationship skills, engagement / project management skills, some industry / technical knowledge and a familiarity with Enterprise Services organizations. The Resource Manager candidate must possess excellent planning, time management, decision making, presentation and organization skills along with a proven ability to effectively perform in a fast paced, high growth, rapidly changing environment.

The Resource Manager is responsible for fulfilling engagement staffing requests using Microsoft consultants as well as facilitating the use of partner, global or additional MS resources to fill requests as appropriate. The successful Resource Manager will understand the skill disciplines as well as know the strengths and skills of the consultants within the skill disciplines in order to successfully staff engagements.


​​​This position is responsible for making sound staffing decisions and resolving conflicts within the practice that have significant impact on utilization and on internal and external customer satisfaction. The RM will ensure customer satisfaction with the staffing of their engagements and will achieve and exceed utilization and bench targets across skill disciplines of the Asia practice, as well as fulfill all demand for consulting resources within defined service levels. The RM will work with the Technical Development Manager (TDM) team in assessing individual consultant skills and assist with developing consultant readiness plans in order to increase the consultant skills per the demands of the business. The RM is also be responsible for maintaining the data integrity of our request management system. ​​

Business Plan (20%): Contribute to the strategic skills & capacity decisions for the organization

Business Build (10%): Facilitate stakeholders interactions (from leadership to individual contributors) and leverage support of others

Business Stabilize (20%): Operationalize delivery excellence concepts across the various resource pools to improve our profitability

Business Deploy (50%): Drive the resource management processes to optimize the utilization while maximizing the customer satisfaction


Bachelors’ Degree (B.S./B.A.) required

Master’s degree preferred

PMP certification and/or project management experience and/or proven exposure to Six-Sigma methodology appreciated

3-5 years in global professional services organization​
