Intuit Senior Software Engineer in Bangalore, India


Come join the "Intuit QuickBooks Windows team" as a "Senior Software Engineer". QuickBooks is a flagship Product for Intuit and is being used by about 3M users. The existing team enjoys the customer connect, multiple innovation opportunities that they get to do in their day-to-day work. QuickBooks Windows Product team is responsible for Design, Development, Testing, Automation and Release of the year-over-year releases to market and also to support the existing versions in the market.


  • Gathering functional requirements, developing technical specifications, and project & test planning

  • Design, develop, implement and support high-quality software build systems.

  • Introduce new techniques and technologies for new build systems and evolve existing systems.

  • Develop build scripts and tools for builds, using most appropriate languages and technologies

  • Integrate automated builds and build artifacts into test environments, unit test harnesses, and code analysis tools

  • Identify and implement innovative solutions to present and future customer needs; this includes forecasting needs, and deriving requirements from customer interactions, internal as well as external

  • Develop high quality designs and code with respect to testability, internationalization, scalability, performance, security, and fault tolerance

  • Provide estimates and manage own schedule at component/sub-system level , Manage build machines, servers, and build environments, and understands security concepts and processes for build systems

  • Act in a technical leadership capacity: Mentoring junior engineers, new team members, and applying technical expertise to challenging programming and design problems

  • Work cross-functionally with various Intuit teams: product management, QA/QE, various product lines, or business units to drive forward results

  • Contribute to the design and architecture of the project

  • Experience with Agile Development, SCRUM methodologies.


  • 6+ years’ experience developing Desktop Software on Windows.

  • BS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience

  • Strong experience in Jenkins, Building in the Cloud (AWS, Docker/Kubernetes) and Git; experience with Object Oriented Languages (OOD), C++, C# and .Net.

  • Familiar with Configuration Management concepts, build framework design and architecture

  • Experience with Git, Perforce, Subversion administration with knowledge on scripting languages like Python, SH, Perl

  • Experience in build tools (Maven, ANT, Make, Nexus)

  • Experience with the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Configuration Management

  • Full life-cycle experience (design through delivery and support), Developing and improving CM standards, practices and procedures

  • Solid communication skills: Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Strong experience in the Software design/architecture process

  • Business Acumen - strategic thinking & strategy development

  • Building strong teams - set and evangelize vision, facilitative leadership, attract and retain key talent
