We’re seeking a Senior Scientist- Decision Sciences based in our Bangalore,India office. In this role, you will be responsible to develop and implement new software, maintain and improve existing software. Ensure that software functionality is implemented with a focus on code optimization and organization.

Execute the followingactivities independently
Develop real time andbatch risk models to screen online transactions and stop fraudulent onesindependently
Document and communicatemodel results and insights internally Support Senior/Staff Risk Scientists withad-hoc analysis in response to internal and external requests
Continuously track andevaluate the effectiveness of risk models and rules Analyze online transactionactivity to identify loss reduction opportunities and devise actionable plansto exploit such opportunities
Profile customerbehavior to identify opportunities to enhance model/rule performance Executethe following activities under the guidance of Senior/Staff Risk Scientists
Support R&Dinitiatives or process improvement
Explore new tools andvendor data Work with cross-functional teams in Risk to implement strategicinitiatives and improvements to current risk management process and tools
Work with cross-functional teams in Risk toimplement strategic initiatives and improvements to current risk managementprocess and tools Research on new techniques available and explore implementingnew techniques Manage and mentor junior decision scientist
What you will need to succeed:
Master’s degree in quantitative field requiredPhd with proven track of minimum 2 years of research experience in datamodeling/predictive science/machine learning in academia/industry OR
Masters with minimum 5 plus years of experiencein Risk analytics/modeling in financial service industry
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Strong communication skills to convey fraudinsight
Ability to analyze problems and producejustification to enhance fraud decisions
Strong SQL, programming experience
Strong in at-least one the statistical toolsSAS/R/Python
Experience in developing predictive models likelogistic regression, decision tree etc and machine learning techniques
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Ability to navigate in Linux/Unix system oraptitude to learn on the job new tools/system Preferably working knowledge ofshell scripts to launch jobs in Linux/Unix system
