Develop a multi-threaded management disaster-recovery server software for VMware infrastructure based data centers.
Design and develop open APIs for virtual infrastructure management and the core infrastructure for implementing these APIs.
Work with platform and vCenter teams to expose new platform features and deliver new virtual infrastructure management functionality.
Work with QA engineers to ensure software testability, stability and quality.
Work with the technical publications team to ensure high-quality documentation of the product and its APIs.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent disciplines. Master is preferred.
5+ years of experience in C++, multi-threaded, server-side programming.
2+ years of recent experience on the server/service development on Linux platform. Experience on Windows application development is a plus.
Good knowledge of object-oriented design, STL and boost library.
Experienced in SQL database design. Have hands-on experience on Postgresql, MS SQL Server, Oracle is a plus.
Experience or knowledge on C# development is a plus.
Strong debugging and problem solving ability. Experience on debugging issues in large scale distributed system is highly desirable.
Understanding of systems architecture and components such as networking and storage is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with partners and customers as necessary.
