  • Develop a multi-threaded management disaster-recovery server software for VMware infrastructure based data centers.

  • Design and develop open APIs for virtual infrastructure management and the core infrastructure for implementing these APIs.

  • Work with platform and vCenter teams to expose new platform features and deliver new virtual infrastructure management functionality.

  • Work with QA engineers to ensure software testability, stability and quality.

  • Work with the technical publications team to ensure high-quality documentation of the product and its APIs.


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent disciplines. Master is preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in C++, multi-threaded, server-side programming.

  • 2+ years of recent experience on the server/service development on Linux platform. Experience on Windows application development is a plus.

  • Good knowledge of object-oriented design, STL and boost library.

  • Experienced in SQL database design. Have hands-on experience on Postgresql, MS SQL Server, Oracle is a plus.

  • Experience or knowledge on C# development is a plus.

  • Strong debugging and problem solving ability. Experience on debugging issues in large scale distributed system is highly desirable.

  • Understanding of systems architecture and components such as networking and storage is highly desirable.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with partners and customers as necessary.
