A vacancy exists in Norway for a Sales Manager to grow the Bently Nevada business in the territories. By leveraging direct, other GE (the broader BHGE and Power Services Sales teams) and indirect channels, the successful candidate is expected to increase market share, develop high level customer relationships, understand customer CTQ's and will ultimately be responsible for business growth in the assigned region.
Bently Nevada offerings include but are not limited to: Bently Nevada Hardware, Software, Services and packaged solutions. The Sales Manager develops practical and innovative ways to identify and meet goals. In this role you will utilize your understanding and experience to execute business objectives, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.
Assists in proposal preparation and delivery, provides technical information to customer
Build customer relationships with the assigned customer for sales
Support the assigned customer in sales activities and provide assistance to the customer in identifying new opportunities
Review and influence customer specifications for development of equipment and service proposals
Coordinate activities and develop sales strategies, obtaining appropriate approvals for pricing, and delivery
Negotiate contracts as required
Maintain knowledge of market trends, competitive actions, product needs, and customer base
Work with Marketing to develop project specific sales strategies for assigned customers
Make recommendations for continued growth

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED and at least 4 years of experience in a sales, support, or marketing field)
Significant experience in Sales, Customer & Product Support or Services
Knowledge of Condition Monitoring equipment, markets and applications in O&G and Power gen
Fluent in English and Norwegian (spoken and written)
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
Entrepreneurial attitude. Able to work independently with minimal guidance.
Ability to travel frequently within the assigned territories
Valid work permit for Norway
Field / Operational experience on Rotating Equipment Instrumentation
While location within Norway is flexible.
