BJ Services has an excellent opportunity for a Logistics Coordinator in our Calgary, Alberta location. The Logistics Coordinator is accountable for the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of operational logistics. This position reports to the Canadian Logistics Lead.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain a safe work environment based on company policies and regulations
Forecast logistics and equipment requirements for well site operations based on volumes provided by sales and operations
Responsible for the service delivery, quality, and continuous improvement of operational logistics
Manage the end-to-end procure to pay process for logistics and equipment
Identify and select new vendors through internal and external research, and assist in the negotiation and onboarding process
Participate in the development and implementation of the Canadian logistics strategy
Liaise with internal stakeholders to identify improvements to existing business practices
Contribute to the development and ongoing improvement of BJ’s transport management system
Act as subject matter expert on logistics and equipment
Willingness to work shift work – typically 12 hour shifts on an 8/4 schedule
Willing to work both day and night shifts on a rotational basis
Willing to work overtime as required
Strong communication skills are required

Understanding of oilfield logistics practices and concepts
High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred
2+ years logistics and/or supply chain experience preferred
Experienced with integrated purchasing business systems, and transport management software
