Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and secure Hitachi customers as advocates to participate in sales, marketing, and public relations activities in order to showcase innovative and noteworthy uses of Hitachi solutions, outlining the business benefits and outcomes that are generated.

  • Create a consistent and stable pipeline of references in support of sales, marketing, launches and global communications efforts

  • Proactively schedule and conduct professional interviews with customers to document their implementation, create written record of interview, and input customer data into customer reference database

  • Collaborate with sales and executives in managing local Advisory Board meetings and Customer visits

  • Maintain in-depth customer profiles and contacts; manage reference request fulfillment, and track reference activity and results

  • Create compelling and engaging digital content (case studies, video testimonials, infographics, blogs, slides, customer evidence) and engagement points (web, social, community)

  • Work closely with overlay sales teams, solutions and product groups, product marketing, PR and content teams, as well as manage external writers and 3rd-party vendors

  • Foster, promote and preserve long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with Hitachi customers, promote high-visibility of the company with customers and eliminate over-use/under-use of customer references.

  • Ensure the brand is represented accurately and messaging is appropriate in all reference materials

  • Ensure Geo participation and increase program adoption and visibility

Primary Qualifications:

  • B.A./B.S. in Marketing strongly preferred

  • 4-6 years marketing experience to include: marketing programs, customer references, events, sales enablement

  • Strong project and program management skills; experience in prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates

  • Poise, discretion, and a demonstrated ability to interact with individuals at all levels of an organization and directly with strategic customers, managing communications with them both individually and as a group

  • Strong interviewing skills and excellent storytelling skills – the ability to extract key “nuggets” from customer stories to show business impact in a compelling way

  • Database experience required; Experience in RO Innovation preferred

  • Excellent English verbal and proven written communication skills

  • Experience in managing a marketing budget

  • Willing to travel, up to 25% of the time

  • Market research background experience a plus
