Field Services UK part of ATEN (Aerospace, Technology, Environmental and Nuclear)
To grow and develop the portfolio of Jacobs Field Services projects
Ensure the successful and safe execution of assigned projects, so that HSE, time, cost and quality targets are achieved and to ensure client satisfaction
Ensure the application of best Project Management practice, including corporate initiatives on all projects, to facilitate effective and successful project completion
Manage the generation of execution strategies for all assigned projects, so that the most cost effective approach is taken and so that there is a common basis for planning by all functions
Lead liaison with all project support functions, to ensure a coherent and robust approach to project activities
Responsible for all project reviews, including risk reviews, so that relevant managers in the business can accurately assess the status of the project and take/ recommend any corrective action
Identify potential adverse future events on projects and take timely corrective action, so that risks to achievement of the project objectives are eliminated
Development of high quality tender response documentation and collaborative working with sales leadership
Provide input to estimating and tendering activity as required, including undertaking the duties of Bid Manager so that all relevant issues, actions and risks are understood and taken into account
Lead the identification and allocation of suitable resource for the project, in cooperation with peers and functional managers, so that the project can achieve its targets whilst not undermining other activities within the business
Development and mentoring of staff to ensure that there is a capable succession plan
Lead a performance culture, incorporating the E&C Values, which develops individuals’ capability through an active performance management process, so that not only delivery for the company is enhanced but also the skills, capability and personal satisfaction of an individual is maximised.
Degree (or equivalent) qualified, Chartered Engineer
Substantial relevant experience in a contracting project environment including managing a wide range of scope and type of projects.
Proven track record of leadership and successful delivery. This role will be fully accountable for the performance of specified Defence contracts.
Experience as at least a first-level line manager
Experience in the Nuclear and Defence sector with a demonstrable knowledge across the industry
