Microsoft Business Operations manages the WW operationalization of Microsoft’s most complex product and service launches. We also have the charter to define, build, run and optimize best in class Product, Offer and Pricing services for Microsoft.

Position Description:

We are looking for a proven project manager to join our Launch Fulfilment Readiness Transformation team to support our Planning & Launch (P&L) team. This primary purpose of this team is to identify, drive, develop and implement readiness transformation projects that will enable the development of a readiness service that is ready to scale to support our modern offerings.

As a project lead in this team you will own a portfolio of projects aimed at bringing standardization and consistency of best practices to our end to end workflows. You will identify opportunities to automate manual processes and work with the relevant stakeholders (inside and outside our team) to implement this and you will leverage automation of supporting launch workflows to ensure that readiness benefit from the broader digitization of our launch motion. You will seek out examples of how readiness is performed elsewhere in our organization and industry in the pursuit of excellence and identify ambitious goals for how we can embed speed to value to our Microsoft and Partner audiences. You will be an agent of change, and bring the team on this journey, cleanly landing adoption of behavioral and technical changes with the readiness team through the illustration of value and benefit across our portfolio of work, without disrupting our core deliverables. You will use data to support decision making and implementation, and to measure success at every step of the way.

The Project Manager will be accountable for:

  • Assessing and optimizing process flows in the readiness team with our collaboration partners inside and outside Microsoft (i.e. third-party vendors)

  • Identifying and prioritizing automation opportunities across the readiness workflow, and partnering with the appropriate contacts in Microsoft to submit, prioritize and oversee deployment of new features and functionality, including the change management required for adoption

  • Maximizing the capture and usage of data associated with workflows to enable strategic business decision making

  • Leading complex transformational projects across multiple stakeholders in adherence with the ODLC framework

  • Driving standardization of processes across go to market motions (GTMs) along with the appropriate controls to ensure adherence

  • Defining the future path for our core processes and tools ensuring future flexibility to support our emerging modern offer motion

  • Identification of process "gaps" and working with team members and impacted stakeholders to implement solutions that do not disrupt the speed or quality of our readiness offering

  • Provide high quality communications where required to support stakeholder engagement through updates, risk flagging and progress reporting to our executive leadership team

  • Collaborating with our data teams to build process inspection models for core processes

  • Put our partner and field audience experience at the center of all process design ensuring minimum speed to market and value from a readiness perspective


Basic Qualifications

  • 2 years minimum experience in Operations, Project Management or Change Management

Preferred Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree plus minimum four years business experience/acumen in Operations, Program Management, Process Design, or change management.

  • A track record of exceptional partnering across a wide-array of internal business groups, executive stakeholders and execution partners with ability to build solid relationships with individuals at all levels

  • Proven impact and influence skills - ability to work broadly across disparate groups to gain agreement on direction, integrate disparate opinions into cohesive strategy/message and present/defend recommendations

  • Exceptional written, verbal and creative communication skills, including ability to translate insight into content, create slide or written presentations, create overall communication plans

  • Knowledge of Microsoft operational capabilities

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and navigate uncertain situations to drive for clarity; work calmly and maintain good judgment in fast-paced, high-speed environment
