We’re hiring!


Aon are currently recruiting a Consultant Support to join our team either as a homebased worker or based in Farnborough. The Consultant Support will be primarily responsible for:

  • Providing a variety of day to day administrative support to a team of Consultants within Aon’s international medical insurance consultancy division and to manage the individual portfolio
  • Working closely with the Consultants; the role of Support Consultant is to ensure that all the administrative tasks are managed efficiently and the team’s paperwork is completed within the set deadlines; administration tasks also include database management for one of our largest clients

The role of Consultant Support is primarily home office based, but will be working closely with Aon internally, insurers and clients and there may be some travel to meetings when necessary.

About the Role

As a Consultant Support some of your key responsibilities will involve:

  • Effectively managing the areas within the remit
  • Managing the database of one of our largest clients, ensuring that the information is accurate and co-ordinating activity between the insurers and the clients
  • Pulling together and co-ordinating the team’s financials, collating the necessary documentation, resolving any queries and co-ordinating internally with the Finance team
  • Collating data from insurers to input into the monthly claims report, checking data, inputting into reports and sending to clients
  • Co-ordinating activity with the other Consultant Supports in the team ensuring that the procedures and policies are aligned where necessary
  • Inputting client data into Greater Insights and Salesforce
  • Being aware of, adhering to and supporting company policy and strategy
  • Developing and maintaining a good working relationship with both clients and insurers at all levels
  • Acting as the first point of contact for day to day enquiries if the consultants are not in the office
  • Responding independently to queries from both clients and insurers in a pro-active manner
  • Co-ordinateing administration of the schemes including invoicing, membership data, communication materials and other associated queries
  • Ensuring that any correspondence produced by Aon or issued via ourselves is accurate before sending on to clients
  • Ensuring that all Aon’s client records are kept up to date and in line with FCA compliance requirements, including but not limited to client history sheets, client data records and training and competency records
  • Maintaining an understanding of the regulatory environments in the UK by way of updates from the Aon UK Compliance teams
  • Having an understanding of, and ability to work within, Industry regulation
  • Working on specific administrative projects as required
  • Being responsible for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.

About you

As a Consultant Support your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

  • A working knowledge of insurance, preferably within the health market, would be an advantage
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • High standards of literacy and numeracy
  • Well developed communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and proactively using own initiative
  • Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise workloads
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to retain and recall information
  • Self motivation
  • Good atitude for problem solving
  • Ability to work within a team environment
