Offer & Supply Chain means that for the first time ever we’re selling the same unified ranges across all nine Operating Companies, while investing in our own unique and exclusive products.
Our Commercial function helps our brands grow their sales and attract more customers by making our products more inspiring, with clearer choice and a better shopping experience online or in-store. We work with the Group Range teams to deliver brilliant, high quality products our customers will love, in a way that is easy for our Operating Companies to stock, display and sell.
We are currently recruiting for a key role within the Building & Joinery Merchandising team, reporting into the Head of Merchandising and on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract or Secondment basis.
The role of the Merchandiser is to create visually inspiring and commercially effective product displays for all Operating Companies, making the customer journey easier and more inspirational while enabling self-selection where relevant. This will be achieved by defining, developing and delivering the visual merchandising and space planning for each range.
This position will require the Merchandiser to work at an international group wide level and will be responsible for delivering customer focused merchandising principles across all Kingfisher Groups Operating Companies. This person will need to have significant experience in visual merchandising with a clear knowledge and appreciation for multi-format merchandising concepts, effective visualization of those concepts and space planning.

Delivering an inspiring shopping experience for each range that is easy for customers to understand
Create strong visualisations of each merchandising concept to support effective engagement across all Operating Companies
Minimise the duplication of effort and task across the OPCO’s
Responsible for planning and delivering the in-store visual merchandising for each range for all store formats
Maximise sales opportunities and profit potential for each range, working closely with the space performance manager to define and meet objectives
Work closely with the category product teams to agree selling concepts i.e. understand the way customers shop the category and how our ranges solve their needs
Collaborate with the sales steering and range communications team on the marketing of your category to ensure consistency of message
Design and create merchandising solutions supported by detailed visuals, applying group merchandising principles for all OPCOs for your unified product ranges
Deliver the micro selling space requirements for your unified ranges
Design the product layouts and planograms at SKU level for each of your ranges and include full product life cycle data
We are looking for someone with significant experience within visual merchandising, an understanding of customer journey mapping and the ability to create visuals of concept and designs.
You will also have experience of sales performance reporting and a background in analysis, forecasting and space planning. You should be comfortable with in store communication, with experience of store operations as well as broad experience working across multi-format merchandising concepts and with different store equipment solutions.
