General Electric Production Team Leader in Helsinki, Finland

Role Summary:GE Healthcare has in Helsinki a center of excellence for manufacturing healthcare equipment. The products from Helsinki are shipped to customers across the world every day, where they help support lives in the moments that matter. We're looking for a Production Team Leader to be responsible for the resourcing, employee training and efficient use of the production line. With your leadership you will create good working conditions, methods and continuous improvement of the production environment.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • The Production Team Leader owns the performance of the team and will resource the team to meet the production plans

  • Monitoring and improving productivity, while ensuring all customer commitments are met in a timely, quality and cost-conscious manner

  • Developing and creating training plans to maximize workforce capability (Training and development of the team members and assuring good cross-training is essential) Leading Compliance, as well as Environmental, Health & Safety efforts in support of plant goals

  • Driving LEAN manufacturing implementation

  • Following the customer demand patterns and balancing the resources accordingly is within the key responsibilities.

  • Other duties may be assigned by management to meet business needs; to include, but not limited to quality activities, training sessions, and employee activity teams.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in technical field such as IT, electronics or electrical engineering or Vocational Degree) with experience in production, supply chain or in leadership or extensive production or supply chain experience or equivalent knowledge or experience

  • Ability to lead and develop teams

  • Ability to identify and implement best practices and deal with high levels of ambiguity

  • Ability to use the common office software like MS Office package

  • Experience with working as a team leader (supervisor)

  • Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills (and presentation skills) with external and internal customers

  • Ability to work independently and influence others in order to achieve team goals

  • Ability to prioritize workload and shift work activities in order to meet business needs and department goals

  • Solid communication skills in English and in Finnish, both spoken and written

  • EU work permit

MBA or Masters

  • Ability to identify & implement best practices

  • Ability to perform with high levels of ambiguity

  • Prior experience working in a medical device manufacturing environment
