Description

We are seeking an experienced designer to join our team and help shape the next generation of digital products for Nike. Someone passionate about developing strategies based off human insight, and who is able to use their craft to turn those insights into expertly designed products.

You’re a great communicator. Helping to set the framework for design and inspiring those around you with great storytelling. And you have the ability to mentor others to deliver the work and make strategy come to life.

You have a human-focused design mentality. Even though you have incredible instincts, you make validated and data-driven decisions. You design as if you are right, but listen as if you are wrong.

You’ve shipped many consumer products over the years and understand what it takes to create consumer oriented UIs.

What you’ll do

  • Design across the entire product lifecycle.You’ll set the vision for the user experience and create a space forcollaboration.

  • Identify user needs, sketch solutions withprototypes, test ideas with our user research team, and refine designs withdata and user feedback.

  • Let users lead the way. Our users informwhere we are going. Our teams focus on listening to users and letting theirneeds guide us to the best solutions. It’s important for us to know we aresolving for real people and not just the loudest voice in the room.

  • Work with small multi-disciplinary teams.You’ll partner closely with engineering, product, and business folks to findelegant but practical solutions to design challenges. Together, you’ll solveproblems and define the solutions that delight our users.

  • Evangelize best UI practices to otherdesigners, engineers, and product managers.

  • Produce high quality user experience designthrough hybrid wireframe and visual designs, flow diagrams, and prototypes;knowing when to apply pixel-perfect attention to detail, and when to makelow-fi sketches and prototypes.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in Digital Product Design

  • Leader, Curious, Inventive, Open-minded, Fearless, and Proactive.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain design decisions within the team and partners.

  • An outstanding online portfolio showcasing intelligent digital strategy and creative design solutions.

  • A conceptual thinker and master of user experience with the ability to produce exceptional design work.

  • A passion for innovation and technology with a solid understanding of digital tools, trends, and infrastructure.

  • Proven experience of solving unique design challenges on web and apps

  • Understanding of underlying technology is necessary. You don't have to be a developer, but you understand what makes things work.

  • Ability to solve complex problems across disciplines, departments and geographies.

  • Ability to translate conversations and sketches into high-quality user flows, wireframes and prototypes using the range of industry standard tools (Sketch, Invision, Principle, etc).

  • Experience with global launches, multi-language localization, accessibility design and large-scale mobile platforms is optimal but not required
