We are currently currently seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join the dynamic team at our Langley, BC office.
Reporting to the Accounts Payable Supervisor , you will perform day to day processing of accounts payable transactions to ensure distributor and vendor accounts are maintained in an effective, accurate and up to date manner.
Your responsibilities may include:
Process a high volume of varied accounts payable invoices.
Ensure Cummins policies and procedures associated with the PO to AP process are adhered to.
Receive & verify invoices for the requisition of goods and services.
Verify transactions comply with company policies and procedures.
Prepare invoices for entry and conduct data entry input. Assist in weekly cheque run.
Setup and maintain vendor files and perform statement reconciliations, resolving invoice discrepancies.
Prepare adhoc management reports.
Coordinate with assigned branches to obtain necessary invoice approvals.
Must have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail as well as sharp analytical and problem-solving skills.
Discretion and trustworthiness due to handling of confidential information and material.
Intermediate Excel Skills.
Ability to identify and recommend process improvement solutions.
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
- Post-Secondary education which demonstrates a General understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Previous experience with high volume data entry.
Our Pre-Employment Background Screening process consists of a Criminal Background Check as well as Education and Work Experience Verification.
Specific Tickets / Licenses are checked as required, and Drivers Abstracts are required for any position where driving is part of the job.
