The Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Front Office team as a Receptionist

We have an exciting new opportunity for a professional and enthusiastic individual to join our Reception team, who will provide a friendly welcome and efficient customer service to our guests.

Reception duties involve taking reservations either by telephone or email, entering reservations from various travel agents, carrying out daily correspondence checks, checking guests in and out of the hotel, dealing with guest enquiries and requests and ensuring the guests thoroughly enjoy their stay.

Responsibilities will also include cash handling, the safe and all floats, closing the shift at the end of each day and overseeing the hotel's safe.

This role will require policies and procedures to be followed consistently, therefore attention to detail is essential.

What we need from you

Previous experience and track record in working and progressing within hotel is a must for this role, as well

  • Previous Hospitality experience is helpful but not necessary

  • High standard of personal presentation

  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written

  • Customer service experience is essential, and an understanding of hotel operations is advantageous

  • Attention to detail is essential

  • Due to the nature of this role the ability to deal with a variety of tasks at the one time will be required, ensuring that all tasks are completed on a timely basis prior to hand-over to the next shift

All applicants must be able to work varying shifts including night, weekends and bank holidays.
