Your role:

You will be a member of the Sunday Times Editorial team and responsible for developing The Sunday Times’ new digital, personal finance product.

You will develop original content with the aim of guiding people through smarter financial planning and decision-making using editorial, video and audio content. You will use data to help evaluate and enhance the value of the content to contribute to the ongoing success of the project, and write or commission copy to the highest standards.

Day to day you will:

•Write Money and Personal Finance copy that is polished and credible enough to bear the Times name but also approachable, jargon-free and engages araditionally disengaged audience

•Work with the New Business Ventures team and the wider business to ensure the product is performing as needed.

•Optimise and edit content to meet SEO best practices on an ongoing basis.

•Work closely with the Sunday Times Money Editor to ensure content is maintained to the very highest quality standards and establish a process for how touse STTM content digitally.

•Liaise and communicate effectively with a range of internal colleagues, stakeholders and external suppliers

•Manage the number of page impressions to meet the associated Financial model KPIs

•Contribute to an ongoing culture of improvement and innovation, creating and developing processes and concepts which will drive efficiency andeffectiveness whilst continuing to ensure that customers are delighted.

What we’re looking for from you:

•Demonstrable background in personal finance writing

•Solid experience of commissioning/editing on a digital brand, national newspaper or magazine

•A digital-first journalist who can create multi-platform content in line with an overarching brand purpose and tone of voice

•Exceptional writing and editing skills and a meticulous eye for detail

•High integrity and journalistic ethics

•Motivated self-starter who proactively take ownership of goals and delivers results

•Thrives in a fast-paced, target driven environment and works well under pressure

•Has a positive “can do” attitude

•Excellent attention to detail
