UK SMN Field Marketing Manager – Digital

Position Descriptions

This role is responsible for leading and delivering a central strategy for the UK website to provide exceptional customer experiences for SMN audiences (small, medium and national-sized businesses). From driving traffic to optimising on-site experiences, the role influences all areas of our marketing function to ensure we have a cohesive approach to building buyer journeys that drive engagement and consideration for SAP Concur solutions by our target audience. The role will be responsible for understanding overall business goals and working collaboratively with broader teams to successfully plan, coordinate, launch and measure digital marketing initiatives against those goals while optimising the customer journey.

Responsibilities:

Website Structure and Merchandising:

  • You will own the go-to-market strategy for the UK digital experience for the SMN segment.

  • Understand the Digital Buyers Journey to optimise web user experience and drive engagement – predominantly with prospects, but extending to existing clients over time.

  • Work closely with the EMEA Digital lead to visiualise, plan and execute website activities that are optimised for the SMN audience.

  • Deliver quarterly marketing plans to drive traffic, conversion, testing and optimisation of the site.

  • Create a plan of content recommendations, new pages and assets to augment the existing site and improve usability, working with Content lead to prioritise and plan delivery.

  • Be a part of global initiatives to improve site performance such as a new resource centre, design projects and new assets etc.

  • Be responsible for driving page creation/updates and merchandising of content across the site, liaising with the global PM team.

  • Responsible for UK site metrics working with the Business Intelligence team and lead the interpretation of the data and actions to improve performance and trends.

Paid Social:

  • Ownership of the strategy and execution of the paid social strategy in collaboration with agency support

  • Work with all Field Marketing and organic Social Media leads to understand all elements of paid social in place across entire campaigns mix.

  • Be the central point for monitoring best practices, campaign performance and driving the opportunities to learn and improve in this critical area.

Advertising Campaigns:

  • Act as the local lead and executor for UK advertising/consideration campaigns.

  • Work collaboratively with the local ad agency and global advertising Senior Manager to understand how advertising drives site traffic and how we can optimise spend and engagement for the UK.

SAP Concur Business Exchange Community:

  • Work closely with US and UK teams to drive the newly formed Business Exchange strategy for a community across the UK SMN client and prospect audience.

  • Provide input for local considerations to make the portal relevant and engaging for UK community.

  • Community management and engagement; growing positive customer sentiment to increase sales potential and positive word of mouth. Moderation of customer comments on company-owned digital products.

Cross Functional Alignment:

  • Work closely with Paid Search and SEO teams, Corporate Web and Digital team, Local Content and Social Media team, and Field Marketers to drive an integrated approach to the website as the hub of programmes and tactics that drive engagement and ultimately revenue.

Key Metrics:

  • Quarterly traffic and conversion optimisation metrics from multiple sources

  • Engagement with content on site

  • Improved journey and time on site metrics

  • # of web optimisations

  • Number of web tests conducted in conjunction with corporate web team

  • Advertising engagement improvements

Education, Experience and Training required:

  • Degree-level education with strong marketing experience in B2B software industry with SaaS experience.

  • Experience creating and implementing proven successful digital and web strategies aligned to business goals and executed collaboratively with a broad team.

  • Knowledge of SEO, PPC current practices and advertising.

  • Experience in taking data insights and driving tactical and strategic actions to optimise and improve results.

  • Proven experience with Adobe, Ominture, MS Office applications, CRM (Salesforce.com), Drupal and business intelligence tools.

  • Proficiency in web storytelling and understanding effective copywriting for digital channels.

  • Strong communicator and collaborator at all levels and internationally.

  • Flexible and willing to work on a broad variety of tasks at different levels.

  • Willingness and ability to accommodate meetings in different time zones.
