The Senior Technical Services Specialist will deliver value for Cargill Texturizing Solutions by:
Provide integral solutions to customers applying Cargill portafolio ingredients based on category and market trends and needs.
Support food applications based on formulation, ingredients and process knowledge.
Deliver growth to CSST business from flawless execution of new business development projects
40% Use category expertise and direct customer relationships to identify and execute new business development projects with foods manufacturers of dairy, beverages and bakery industries for Mexico, Columbia and CAC.
Identify and apply market trends that align with business strategy and capabilities.
Hunt for new opportunities aligning customer needs and market drivers with our capabilities by developing deep relationships with customers and providing technical credibility that drives differentiation and innovation.
May act as a technical representative for CSST and may represent Cargill on Enterprise level as the primary technical tag to a Cargill customer.
Troubleshoot issues with ingredients, formulations, processes, assist in resolving customer complaints, etc.
30% Provide technical and category expertise to support new product and new applications development projects of MX, Col and CAC.
Provide technical application support to customer focused projects including new innovation applying product line and customer knowledge (from bench to full production).
Provide application testing for new ingredients, assisting in developing technical information to support launch. Applies technical knowledge to address questions that impact the success of product line initiatives.
20% Management of pipeline and projects in the Cargill systems (SFDC, ELN, Shared R&D drive, etc) – update and tracking, project trazability
10% Technical expert to develop and provide technical trainings in different product lines to customers, distributors, internal stakeholders
BS in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Chemistry, or Chemistry degree with a focus on food applications.
7 years Technical Service or Food Applications lab experience in Dairy and beverage industries. Bakery desirable
Proven track record of commercial success driven by customer focused technical projects.
English working proficiency
Previous food product development, ingredient technical sales/service and food manufacturing experience.
Ingredient functionality and process technology in other industries as Convenience (dressings, sauces, soups) and fruit preparations
Food quality & Food safety knowledge
Sensory and consumer science
Graduate studies in Food science or similar
Graduate studies in Business or Marketing
Travel is likely to be >30%.
Effective communication in-depth technical information to all levels internally and externally.
Ability to work in a food lab, pilot plant and food production environment.
Ability to develop customer relationship and trust through technical knowledge and expertise.
Ability to represent Cargill and coordinate customer interaction across multiple business units for a large customer interacting at highest levels of customer organization.
Ability to anticipate customer needs or problems to proactively defend or build business.
