PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
SAP Customer Experience provides omnichannel customer engagement and commerce software solutions, which helps some of the world's leading organizations to attract, retain and grow a profitable customer base. Our solutions help to solve complex business problems and deliver a more impactful, relevant customer experience allowing to sell more goods, services, and digital content across every touch point, channel, and device.
Our part of the organization is responsible for developing and providing SAP CP Extension Factory based on Kyma ( https://kyma-project.io/ ) - a central extension and integration framework, which covers the complete SAP Customer Experience product portfolio. Extension Factory provides the capabilities to build fully distributed, highly scalable, microservices-based custom solutions leveraging standard OSS Cloud Native Foundation technologies, enabling software development or IT organizations to be more efficient, effective with an increasing agility.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
The main responsibility of the Software Development Manager is to create a positive environment for engaged and high-performing teams to efficiently deliver high quality solutions. He/she leads people to deliver a product in a stable and predictable working environment in an efficient manner.
We expect you to achieve it by:
Line management responsibilities: hiring and on-boarding, performance reviews, career development support
Fostering the employee engagement by continuous feedback and mentoring of his/her career development plan
Setting the expectations for teams and individuals, defining goals and KPIs for teams, and measuring them
Supporting a culture of collaboration via constructive communication and encouraging consistent approaches to common issues across teams
Identifying and communicating obstacles to stakeholders, and to work with the teams and stakeholders to overcome challenges
Optimal team staffing - “Get the right people on the bus in the right seats”
Translating the company’s and organization’s high-level strategy to tactical initiatives for our teams
Cultivating strong teams and keeping working practices and team agreements healthy
Continuously improving the way we work to ensure delivery of a high quality product
Enabling and fostering creativity and innovation within those processes
Helping teams adapt to our rapidly changing corporate and industry landscape
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Extensive knowledge and experience with full software development life cycle, from design through implementation and testing until maintenance
Proven experience and very good understanding of lean and agile software development methodologies
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work and contribute to a collaborative working culture
Agile mind-set, with attitudes of respect, collaboration, improvement and learning cycles, pride in ownership, focus on delivering value, and the ability to adapt to change
Experience with recruitment and team building
Experience in team leadership and people management, preferably in a software development context
Experience with employee performance review
Team and individual mentoring skills
Very good verbal and written English
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline
5 years of experience as a software developer
3 years of experience managing people
