Job Description:

This is a Fixed Term Contract Position for 1 Year

The Individual Insurance and Wealth business unit represents close to 30 per cent of all Sun Life Financial global revenue and more than 50 per cent of Canadian earnings. We’re a top provider of life, health and wealth products in the Canadian marketplace.

The role of the Financial Centre Administrator is pivotal to the smooth and efficient operation of a Financial Centre. The Administrator's focus ranges from supporting the recruiting function, providing client service, reporting payments and administrative accountabilities. The FC administrator maintains strong relationships with several business partners, to help create and maintain a positive and energetic work environment. The successful applicant will be a creative, innovative thinker with strong organizational and PC skills.

What will you do?

  • Answer telephones and greet clients; process mail

  • Responsible for reporting payments & expense cheque routines

  • Facilities management (premises & equipment)

  • Manage client database; coordinate meetings

  • Provide support for the recruiting function

  • Maintain information on targets and results; prepare reports

What do you need to succeed?

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Good problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Energetic, enthusiastic and have the ability to interact diplomatically with people

  • Ability to work independently and with minimal direction and frequent interruptions

  • Team player who is willing to contribute and help others

  • Proficiency working with a PC. Good knowledge of Windows 7, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)

  • Full G License and vehicle required for daily banking

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
