Dynamic Attractions Test Technologist in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia

Overview of the Position:

Reporting to the Engineering Test Group Manager, you will execute the testing of electro-mechanical systems, assemblies, sub-assemblies and sub-systems as required at any stage of construction including but not limited to:

  • Factory Acceptance Testing

  • Site Acceptance Testing

  • Receipt Inspection Tests

  • System, Sub-System, Assembly, and Sub-Assembly Tests

  • Production Line Testing

Other responsibilities include:

  • Documenting all non-conformances and providing results to the responsible supervisor

  • Support the development and creation of SOP?s, test protocols, test reports, and presentations including recommendations for continuous improvement

  • Attends formal inspections with customers and regulatory bodies as required

  • Trains and provides guidance to junior personnel and student interns

  • Other duties as required from time to time

Skills and Capabilities:

  • Have a strong understanding with hands on experience of fabrication, installation, and testing of electrical and electronic systems

  • Have strong hands on experience troubleshooting and testing electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems and sub-systems using standard test equipment and tools related to each discipline

  • Hands on experience with PLC?s, Ethernet Switches, and TCP/IP would be an asset

  • Have experience dealing with voltage systems up to 600VAC would an asset

  • Ability to work with limited direction as well as part of a multi-disciplined team

  • Good judgement and reasoning skills, with the ability to prioritize and problem-solve

  • Excellent communication, reading and writing skills

  • Proficiency with standard MS Office suite of programs

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical would be an asset

  • Demonstrates initiative, creativity, and integrity


  • 2-5 years? experience testing electronic and electro-mechanical systems

  • Relevant Degree, Associates Degree, Diploma, or Certificate
