We’re seeking a Manager, Solution Engineering basedin our Pune, India office . In this role, you will be responsible for implementation of a service delivery model supporting assigned platforms through a predefined frame-work. The broad range of responsibilities include leading engineering and configuration teams, partnering with key stakeholders, both off-shore and on-shore, and delivering on the service level agreements. This includes monitoring on-going risks and providing resolutions, driving process improvements, resource planning & optimization and performance management. The role requires leading, managing and growing the platform assigned to the role.

Be responsiblefor managing team in design, development, testing and delivery of Western UnionIT systems that are characterized by high volumes, low latency and developedwith a broad range of technologies
Be responsiblefor end-to-end delivery of the systems as per project timelines. Ensure smoothknowledge sharing between multi-located global teams and stakeholders
Build softwarethat is optimized, well organized and maintainable. Enforce and deliver commonframework architecture and high-level design within the team. Focus onintroducing innovative engineering practices, tools & technologies tocontinuously improve the quality of the system and optimize efforts
Work withbusiness partners to understand their needs and proactively lead them tosolutions
Provide thetechnical leadership to the teams and guide them in resolving complex technicalproblems
Align executionpriorities – project delivery, employee goals, and establish service levelswith business and functional owners to drive high service quality
Responsible forteams performance management, employee development, employee engagement, talentattraction and retention programs
Provide directoversight of development teams, adhering to development standards and SLAs, andescalating risks and issues to the Engineering Delivery Head
Invest time onall projects to remove impediments and provide solutions to technicalchallenges and make escalations as necessary
Define and revise(if needed) metric/performance reporting under directions from EngineeringDelivery Head to ensure viability of service levels
Participate incapacity and program planning exercises
Manage and buildkey strategic partnerships across application teams and resolve issues asneeded
Must be able tomulti-task, handling numerous competing priorities
What you willneed to succeed:
B.E. / B.Tech. /MCA in Computer Science, Engineering or related field is required
12+ years ofexperience in software engineering and architecture experience in building realtime low latency based systems (preferably in the Financial domain)
5+ years of ITleadership and management experience
Strongdemonstrated skills on architecting solutions that are highly available andreliable
Strong skills onJava, RDBMS, NoSQL technologies, Cloud services from AWS, Integrationtechnologies like W/ Camel, API Management, Micro-services
Skills on Unisysand IBM Message Broker are desired but not necessary
Exposure to Fastdata technologies like Spark, Storm, Kafka etc. is desirable
Experience in afinancial services/payments /Banking verticals
Understanding ofvarious development methodologies, including: Traditional Waterfall andIterative Development Methods (Unified Process and Agile)
Prior experienceleading onshore and offshore delivery, including working overlapping businesshours to partner with onshore teams
