The successful candidate will possess a proven track record in a fast-paced, challenging IT and business environment utilizing an offshore model. This individual will be responsible for the IT quality assurance for software development, enhancement, maintenance and defect support on business and/or IT initiatives. Accountable for end-user confidence, multiple systems testing, and the relationship between the Testing Center of Excellence and its IT partners. A successful candidate will be energetic, and an enthusiastic multi tasker, who will be able to communicate to multiple team levels at a time.
Other roles and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Function as a member of the Retail Testing team
Ability to work solo or with a larger group of people, using effective communication, detailed follow up and follow through
Experienced with Agile and waterfall testing methodologies with successful project implementations using both methodologies
Thorough understanding of the SDLC lifecycle. Ability to write test plans, test cases and exit reports is a must
Coordinate and report on multiple project and release level initiatives without sacrificing quality or time
The new hire will be responsible for all aspects of software development of high speed, real time components. The team will closely work with other technology groups when conducting system wide testing or integration testing. This individual will be asked to translate business requirements into working production quality software through software development practices. Ongoing support of production deployed components will be required.
As a Senior resource in the team, candidate must be able to lead/mentor junior resource in the team and also involve ino technical design of proposed solution and should be able to introduce latest technology stack.
The Key responsibilities would include but not limited to:
The candidate will be responsible for collaborating with development managers and team leads with other groups within Futures, Clearing and Collateral space. He/she will work closely with BA and PMs to create functional requirements, identify the best approach to solve the business needs, implement the solution, validate using use cases and performance/load testing and hand over to support after release. Ability to handle multiple items is a must.
6+ years’ experience having skills in Java (Core, Multi-threading, Caching), Spring-Framework, Hibernate, Autosys, Oracle Database, Unix, Design Patterns, and Software engineering methodologies
Investment Banking Experience preferred
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Exposure to latest technology stack will be an added advantage
Any Prior experience in derivatives would be Preferred
Quickly grasp/master new requirements and related knowledge
Manage tight deadlines or unexpected requirement changes
Ability to learn/understand technical implications of system design
Team player in solid/matrix reporting organizations
Willingness to ask questions, challenge the process and seek out answers
Ability to work independently, multitask, take ownership and drive strategy
Strong analytical/problem solving skills
