Golder has a new opportunity for an Environmental Consultant to join our Environmental Services team on a full-time basis based in Shanghai .
Key duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
Bachelor degree or above in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, or other related majors. Background in Geology/Hydrogeology preferred;
Minimum of three (3) years practical experiences;
Work experience in multinational companies or consulting industries is preferred;
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required in both Chinese and English;
Experience with software such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, GIS. Surfer or gINT desirable;
Successful candidate will be self-motivated and have a positive attitude towards work;
Ability to plan and execute field programs with knowledge of proper sampling techniques (ASTM Standards);
Collecting field data and overseeing subcontractors, which requires the ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (at least up to 50 pounds) and which may involve extended assignments away from the home office location.

Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) - Soil & Groundwater Subsurface Investigations including drilling supervision, geological logging as well as soil & groundwater sampling;
Soil and Groundwater Remediation Studies;
Data collection, recording, interpretation, presentation and evaluation;
Preparation of geological boring logs, geological cross-sections, groundwater contour maps, and iso-concentration maps;
Performing engineering calculations, cost estimates, data validation, and report preparation;
Use safe work practices in accordance with Golder Associates' site specific Health & Safety plans; and
Other duties as assigned including Project Management and Subcontractor’s Management.
