About Release Engineering Team:
Release Engineering Performance Team at SAP SuccessFactors is at the center of cross suite operational excellence, innovation and execution. We work cross functionally in a matrixed environment across Engineering, DC Operations and Product to deliver the next generation of products, design and user experience. We are seeking exceptional individuals to join us on our mission.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Investigate on the code base to find out the specific code pattern which can introduce any possible severe problems.
Investigate on the severe bugs to deeply analyze the root cause, and give out the suggestion and preference for good practice from coding perspective.
Leverage code analysis tools such as sonar to customize the rules to find out the bad code with some specific code pattern.
Lead the effort to figure out the coding best practice and continuously improve the company-wide code standards to try best to prevent the severe problems.
Mentor developers to refactor code with following up good practice on code standards.
Communicate and coordinate with cross functional teams at engineer and architect levels to engage team on improving code quality.
Strong willingness to work with members from other teams, and a facility and ease with large group presentations and technical initiatives discussions
Required Experience and Skills:
5 years of experience in software development on Java, J2EE and web technologies(Html, js etc). Customer facing software product development experience is a plus but not required.
Expert programming experience on the backend of Java/J2EE. Solid knowledge on frontend is also a huge plus.
Very solid Java programming skills and familiarity with JVM including Web Application Servers such as Tomcat, Micro Service etc.. Experience with JEE technologies such as Spring, Hibernate, JPA etc is a huge plus.
Familiar with code static analysis tools such Sonar, FindBugs, PMD etc. The customization of the analysis rules experience is a huge plus.
3 years of profound experience in troubleshoot on cloud software application.
2 years of experienced leading technical projects and mentoring software engineers in a hands-on technical environment
Solid knowledge of design, code refactoring on Java/J2EE.
Possess strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills.
Excellent written and oral communications in English
Bachelor or master degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent education
