About theTeam

The Web Division is responsible for the creation and sale of Akamai services aimed at providing instant and secure access to all Web sites and applications for users everywhere, on all devices, and across all networks. The Web Division includes the core functions of engineering, product development, product management, sales, channels and product marketing. This team develops and sells market-leading services in the areas of mobile & web performance, API and image management, DDoS mitigation, Bot management, and cloud security intelligence.

Responsibilities

  • Acquisition of new customers inthe Enterprise industry (i.e. FSI, eCommerce and Manufacture) in SouthChina based in Shenzhen.

  • Prospect FSI, eCommerce andManufacture industry of South China to drive new customer acquisitions.

  • The complete sales cycle - fromlead generation, renewals to deal closures by creating the demand withinyour region across all assigned business verticals and assigned accounts.

  • Execute an industry-driven salesplan, generating, and qualifying leads within the region.

  • Work with the assigned SolutionsEngineer to articulate, define, and scope sales opportunities.

  • Build a healthy and sustainablepipeline to meet aggressive monthly quotas.

  • Overseeing the customer proposalprocess and ensuring that they address customer requirements.

  • Leverage Akamai’s best-in-breedsolutions by actively building relationships with counterparts worldwide,and deploying Akamai’s solutions.

  • Supporting and educating Sales,Marketing and other internal departments to ensure that customers getappropriate updates, upgrades and event-oriented solutions.

Qualifications

  • 8 years' of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

  • Possess at least 8 – 10 years of relevantexperience in the Enterprise industry.

  • Relevant Professional Experience in FSI,eCommerce and Manufacturing industries.

  • Minimally 8 – 10 years of successfulInternet/Security/CDN sales experience or equivalent course work.

  • Major accounts and channel track and dealcapability.

  • Proven Track Record in over-achievingquarterly and annual quotas of 3 million and higher through channel.

  • High ethics, integrity, and personal drive.

  • Strong knowledge of Internet and telecommunicationsconcepts and demonstrate the ability to discuss them with intelligence andconviction.

  • Formal sales training and understanding of:Solution-Selling and Value Selling training or other metrologies.

  • Experience with Account Mapping and preparingcomprehensive overviews of existing and future business.

  • Ideal candidates will bring with them arange of Internet industry-related contacts.

  • Strong background in Internetinfrastructure and/or enterprise solution software required.

  • 2 years of selling within the security ornetworking sector is desired.
