Job Description

Strategy Development, Implementation and Change Management

▪ Derivation of the plant strategy from higher level strategic targets, in order to ensure the expectations of the customer and the profit of the company

▪ Preparation of the plant and its employees to meet requirements (internal and external)

Entrepreneurial Responsibility, Finance/Controlling

"Planning, optimization and permanent controlling of all plant factors. Steering of all activities in order to fulfill the following tasks

• Fulfillment of the market/customer requirements

• Improvement of plant cost structure (fix and variable)

• Agreement on adjusted targets with the BU in case of major deviation to the budget(sales drop, product mix changes, …)

• Evaluation and definition of activities to achieve or improve the financial and operational business goals

• Review and authorization of e­CR, e­PR and purchase orders for the plant

• Evaluation and definition of actions to meet financial variations related to scrap, manufacturing and price

• Coordination of strategies to improve inventory changes and minimize inventory

• Ensurance of the compliance with legal regulations (e. g. working hours, environment protection) and internal rules and procedures

Organization – Procedures ­ Process management ­ Standard's implementation

▪ Alignment of the plant and customer interfaces, development and implementation of efficient organization structures, procedures and processes

Product Lifecycle Management & Process Technology Management

▪ Ensurance of the manufacturability of products within the defined responsibilities on the basis of authorized budgets within the constraints of quality, quantity, delivering and cost goals

Quality Management

▪ Ensurance of the quality of components, processes and products in order to fulfill internal and customer targets

▪ Promotion of the implementation of quality standards and processes according to the Continental Quality Policy

▪ Ensurance of the successful implementation of corrective actions derived from audit

▪ Ensurance of the resolution of the deviations found by customer audits

Flexible production/ Supply chain management

▪ Flexible controlling and balancing between short­-term customer requirements and unplanned occurrences within the plant in order to obtain the optimal load and achieve the maximum customer satisfaction (on­time deliveries)

Human Resource Management

▪ Definition and implementation of the entire human resource planning of internal and external employee capacity and qualification for the plant and definition of work­, working hours­ and remuneration models

▪ Ensurance of a continuous knowledge and competency management as well as human resources development

▪ Trustful cooperation with the works council (if existing) for the information and counsel obligation according to law and for labor negociations and decisions of all legal issues concerning decisions related to the works constitution

Environment, Safety & Health (ESH)

Local representation and social responsibility

▪ Ensurance of environment protection, operational safety and the enforcement of the company's values at all levels of the corporation

▪ Active promotion of the process of continuous improvement and quality activities, safety, environment and health

▪ Local representation of the BU/Division in different committees and associations in order to safeguard the interests of the BU/Division

Job Requirements

• Bachelor degree or master degree or similar in engineering or equivalent, e.g. business administration

• Professional experience (at least 5 years) in the automotive industry or related

• Cross functional experience in at least 2 different functional areas

• Strategic and business planning experience

• At least 3 years in the area of production

• At least 3 years in a leadership position leading local and international teams with functional and disciplinary responsibility for other employees

• Experience in working with international teams*

• Understanding for different foreign cultures (NAFTA, Asia, several European cultures)
