The Global Digital Technology and Innovation team drives the adoption of new technologies and analytics for a $26B worldwide business. The team leads key initiatives across the world sponsored by senior leadership and is responsible for business process and data analytics led innovations.
In a typical day as a Senior Data Analyst you would do the following:
Creating plan, guiding and monitoring data analysts to ensure that the team targets are met.
Set up roadmap that will bring in latest technologies and approaches into the organization, like machine learning, creative data visualization,
Consulting with internal customers (e.g., Operations, Logistics, Sales Ops) to develop analyses that leads to actionable insights
Wrangling data from multiple sources including sales, inventory, product, and customer data to create integrated views that can be used to drive decision making.
Design and build workflows, with visualizations that support decisions for individual process steps.
Support global business teams as they adopt the use of analytics in decision making
Work with software development teams to implement analytical tools for decision support
Managing a team of high performing knowledge workers to bring out the best of their ability.
Encouraging the team to come up innovative and challenging approaches.
Education and Experience Required:
First level university degree or equivalent experience in one of the following areas - Economics; Computer Science; Engineering; Physics; Math, Statistics, Business
Advanced university degree would be additional advantage
Must have at least 10 years of total experience
Other attributes required
Highly analytical data enthusiast who enjoys data wrangling
Very strong analytical skills.
Very strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Analytical, creative, and innovative approach to solving problems
Knowledge and Skills:
Developed business acumen, including understanding of the company's overall business model
Knowledge of forecasting, statistical models, segmentation schemes, and data-driven analyses
Latest trends in exploratory data mining.
Must have team leadership and project planning skills.
Experience in databases and programming.
Must have experience in using data visualization tools.
Must have experience in data mining from a large data store.
Experience in optimization simulation, and/or predictive analytics using latest tools.
Experience in Machine learning for data analysis will be an additional advantage.
