PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

Our department, as part of the SAP Cloud Platform development area, takes care of developing and maintaining UI Web frameworks as well UI integration services. We handle UI Technologies and frameworks like SAP Business Client, SAP Theme Designer, Floor Plan Manager, Web Dynpro ABAP and Java, Unified Rendering, the SAPGui Family but also Cloud products and services like Web Analytics and Document Management.

We are looking for a (Junior) Developer to strengthen our highly skilled and well experienced ABAP development team which is responsible for Web Dynpro ABAP, Floor Plan Manager and SAP Fiori Launchpad backend services. As part of the team you will be responsible for concepts and implementation of framework enhancements and integration services.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

Are you a skilled technology developer interested in the development of topics which enable application developers to build Web User Interfaces and to integrate business processes? As a member of our team you will be part of a group of product and technology experts who work in scrum teams using agile software development methodologies.

As (Junior) Developer:

  • You will be working with a group of talented and motivated colleagues

  • You will work in a development team according to SCRUM in an agile development environment

  • Your responsibility is covering all stages and tasks within the entire development process

To get your tasks done you will jointly work together with other scrum teams across departments and products.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Required skills

  • Good University Degree of Computer Science or a related discipline

  • Strong programming skills in object oriented programming languages

  • Sense for quality and good experience in all aspects of designing and creating high quality code

  • Flexibility and willingness to learn new subject matters quickly

  • Very good analytical and communication skills

  • Fluent English and German language skills

Preferred skills

  • ABAP programming skills

  • Good understanding of User Interfaces and related technologies

  • Knowledge in Web development

  • Experience in Agile software development practices

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Practice in working in software development teams (for instance in projects at University)

  • Up to two years of professional work experience
