The Procurement Manager, Indirect, acts as a point of contact for internal customers for procurement related to supplier service, quality or safety issues. You will connect between Maintenance Repair and Operations (MRO) Spend Area, POC and our plants to initiate and execute innovation, productivity and Business Continuity Planning. The scope of this position covers five Plants and two Distribution Centres in Canada and manages a total spend of over $300MM.

Responsibilities include:

  • Acts as a single point of contact for procurement function for key stakeholders such as manufacturing, supply chain and other functions to align business strategy with procurement requirements

  • Works with global or regional Spend Area teams to implement contracts locally and to provide local specifics on demand or requirements

  • Gathers internal customers’ requirements to form a solid spend strategy and provide insights on local supplier market to bring solutions to business requirements

  • Identifies local legal requirements that necessitate an adaptation of the contract terms or specific communications with suppliers

  • Supports local supplier qualification assessment and development of contract implementation, compliance plan and performance in contract post-award environmentSupports all major projects related to MRO/indirect categories related to spend, quality and performance evaluation



  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in business administration or commerce or Engineering

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a large international ,procurement environment

  • Proven ability to work under pressure, managing multiple priorities with a variety of stakeholders

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and strong customer service orientation

  • Demonstrated proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office products

  • Excellent people management skills with experience in coaching and developing team members
