General Electric Electrical Engineer in Turin, Italy

Role Summary:The Avio Aero Electrical Engineer will be the specialist who will cover the electrical matter pertaining test benches and test cells. As part of the Test Bench team, you will identify and define the electrical requirements of new test benches and test cells for most of the Avio Aero sites.

Essential Responsibilities:As Electrical Engineer you will have the responsibilities to:

  • Design, install and commission electrical equipments

  • Identify and define the requirements of the systems

  • Identify and define the interface with other systems

  • Run preliminary risk evaluation

  • Draw up a preliminary design of the equipment together with cost estimation

Main areas of expertise:


  • Electrical motor with variable speed drive system DC & AC

  • Very High-speed electrical motor to drive test rigs

  • Medium voltage electrical motor up to 2MW, variable speed

  • Motor control center

  • Low voltage distribution lines

  • Grounding Step & Contact voltage electrical safety


  • Measurement systems and associate range and accuracy

  • Transducer (Es. temperature, pressure, force, speed, position etc.), calibration methods

  • Instrumentation cabling

  • Data acquisition system


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred, but a previous experience is valuable

  • Previous experience in an engineering position

  • Proven background in Electrical system with knowledge of regulatory and applicable technical standard

  • Office Professional + Win Project

  • Italian fluent

  • Good knowledge of the English language

  • EU Work/Stay Permit
