Stellar Creative Lab is hiring a Unity TD. who can bring his or her talent and brains to the design and development of a facility-wide CG-Animation Production Pipeline. Working with peers and facility supervisors a Pipeline TD contributes to the design and implementation of tools and techniques that empower digital artists to work efficiently by making difficult tasks easy and by making easy tasks fast.

Our ideal candidate has previous experience in creating content using Unity, Maya and other related softwares.; strong understanding of software design and development; experience developing using C#, JavaScript, Python or other Industry API?s; resourceful, detail oriented and with great communication and collaboration skills.

Your Main Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Research and Develop workflows and tools for the different departments.

  • Collaborate, engage and discuss solutions or improvements with other departments.

  • Research and create efficiencies to ensure a consistent, stable and quality.

  • Define, mentor and communicate our process, standards and techniques.

  • Work with other TDs, and other departments to create software tools for facility use or for specific projects.

  • Support and mentor other TDs and other departments members.

  • Troubleshoot, maintain and fix problems encountered during production.

  • Create documentation and tutorials for tools and workflows.

  • Assist in training artists in the use of pipeline tools and workflows.

Your Experience, Talents and Abilities:

  • 2+ years experience as a Technical Director in the CG industry.

  • Experience with Unity game development.

  • Proficient knowledge and experience in one or more DCC: Unity, Maya, Blender, Houdini, Katana or Nuke.

  • Development experience in C#, JavaScript or Python is a must.

  • Eligible to work in B.C.
